Nancy Derr has attended St. John's since 1986 and began her part-time work as Church School Director in 1998. She also teaches history for University of Maryland University College and paints portraits. She grew up in Iowa, graduated from Oberlin College, and received a Ph.D. in American Studies from George Washington University.
