Transit and Walking Directions

You can leave your car at home and walk or take public transit to church.

• METRO rail (subway): Take Metro's Red Line to Bethesda station (located at the intersection of Wisconsin Ave.[Rt.355], East-West Hwy.[Rt.410] and Old Georgetown Rd.[Rt.187]). Walk, or take RideOn bus 42 Friendship Heights, south about seven blocks on Wisconsin Avenue and look for the church on the left.
• RIDE ON bus (Montgomery County Transit): RideOn bus #42 operates between the Medical Center and Friendship Heights Metro stations.

Where can I park?

There are thousands of parking spaces within three minutes walk of St. John's, most of them free and legal! Parking is available every day in the lot to the immediate north of the church (between church and Pier One) - park in spaces designated for St. John's Church only.
