Where Can I Park?
On Sundays
(all within three minute walk)
Option One: Street Parking
- Street Parking in metered or non-metered spaces is allowed anywhere on map except where "No Parking" is posted.
Option Two: Free Lot Parking
- Lot One: Immediately adjacent to church; Park in St. John's designated spaces only. Please do not park in Pier One marked spaces.
- Lot Four - Municipal lot; More than 100 spaces; Enter from Walsh Street (Two blocks north of the church)
Option Three: Garage Parking
- Staples Office Supply Garage Parking allows up to two hours free (with store validated ticket). Open from 10:30 AM Sundays. Enter from north side of Bradley Blvd., just east of Strathmore Street. Underground self-parking with elevator to Wisconsin Avenue exit opposite the church. Ticket validation at store is required for free parking.
On Weekdays and Saturdays
(all within three minute walk)
Option One: Street Parking
- Some West Avenue Parking Permits may be available in the office for parking in seven spaces next to the playground. Three parallel parking spaces across the street are also available all-day Saturday and after 7 PM Monday through Friday. Parking permits are not required during funerals.
- All-day Saturday and weekdays after 5 PM Wisconsin Avenue (south of Bradley Lane) is unrestricted from Nottingham south, including Nottingham, Norwood Drive and Chevy Chase Blvd. (many spaces) At other times this is 2-hour unmetered parking.
- Bradley Blvd. (west of Wisconsin) on the North side: Unrestricted all times from Strathmore west. Between Strathmore and Wisconsin, 6 spaces unrestricted after 6:30 PM. Otherwise 2 hour limits with no parking 3:30-6:30 PM Monday - Friday.
- Bradley Blvd. (west of Wisconsin) on the South side: unrestricted parking at all times from 4740 (Carlton House) to Offutt.
- Chevy Chase Drive: 12 spaces unrestricted on Saturday and weekdays after 6 PM, Otherwise 2 hours unmetered parking.
- Strathmore Street: unrestricted after 7 PM.
- Wisconsin Avenue (north of Bradley both sides to Walsh Street) - 13 spaces. Unrestricted after 6:30 PM, otherwise one hour limit. No parking Monday through Friday from 3:30 - 6:30 PM (You will be towed by 3:35 PM!)
- CAUTION: Except for the block of West Avenue behind the church, no parking is allowed anytime anywhere on side streets east of Wisconsin Ave. on the map (i.e. Chevy Chase residential areas).
Option Two: Lot Parking
- Lot One: Immediately adjacent to church; Please do not park in Pier One marked spaces. Park in St. John's designated spaces only. Dashboard parking permits for visitors are available from the church office.
- Lot Four: Same as Sunday, except for metered parking 9 AM - 7 PM, Monday-Friday.
Option Three: Garage Parking
Staples Office Supply Garage Parking allows up to two hours free. Enter from north side of Bradley Blvd., just east of Strathmore Street. Underground self-parking with elevator to Wisconsin Avenue exit opposite the church. Ticket validation at store is required for free parking.
Where Is Parking Prohibited?
- Lot Two: Just north of Lot One, Behind Kitchens Inc.;
NO PARKING ANY TIME.
Parking is for Kitchens Inc. only - TOWING ENFORCED. - Lot Three: Behind Chevy Chase Shops;
NO PARKING ANY TIME.
Parking is for Chevy Chase Shops' customers only - TOWING ENFORCED.
