Vestry

The Vestry is the governing body of the parish and consists of the Rector, Senior Warden, Junior Warden, and twelve additional members. Wardens and Vestry Members are elected at the annual meeting of the parish. Wardens may serve for up to three consecutive one-year terms, and Vestry Members may serve for one three-year term.

The Vestry is responsible for the corporate life of the parish including the annual budget and financial oversight, maintenance of the building and grounds, personnel, and for liaison with parish program committees. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month. As befits their particular talents and interests, members serve on various church committees as members, chairs, and Vestry liaisons. Each new Vestry holds a weekend retreat within a few weeks of the election to establish a working relationship and to develop its goals and objectives for the coming year.
