St. John's offers...

a full program of Christian Education designed to develop and nurture faith in people of all ages.

Children

Church School: Children receive special attention in our Church School which meets Sundays from 10 - 11 AM (September-June). Dedicated trained teachers lead classes for children 3 years through high school. More >>>

Youth

Youth (grades 7-12) meet to enjoy each other's company and to explore Christian faith and its relevance for their busy lives. St. John's Youth Group meets each Sunday 6-8 PM (September-June) and plans activities for fellowship and service throughout the year.

Journey to Adulthood (J2A) instruction is offered for youth beginning in seventh grade.

Adult Faith Formation

• Adult Forums discuss current issues and ongoing topics of interest. Forum leaders include the clergy, speakers from within and outside the parish, panel discussions and occasional small group conversations. Adult Forums are held during the Sunday Christian Education hour (10-10:50 AM September-June)
• Parent Forums address the issues and concerns of families. Leaders include specialists in family dynamics who encourage discussion. Parent Forums are held during the Sunday Christian Education hour (10-10:50 AM September-June)
• Bible Study Group meets during the Sunday Christian Education hour.
• Study Group meets Wednesdays at 10:30 AM with the Rector (September-June).
• Functional Christian Education classes are offered throughout the year. This new curriculum focuses on the intersections between faith and life. The classes are experiential and range from short classes of four sessions to an annual long class called "Faith and Values" which involves 12 weekly meetings and a weekend retreat.
• Newcomers Classes are offered two times each year.
• Other small groups explore dimensions of Christian life, providing opportunities for spiritual growth and Bible study.
